Course Attended: Certificate in Core Leadership Skills

"I thought the presentation style was excellent. There were stimulating blends of theory, practice and reflection; of group and individual work; of written and spoken presentations; and of humour and gravity. The trainer's extensive knowledge and experience in related subjects such as counselling and mediation provided a generous supply of anecdotes and case studies, which brought the subjects to life. Exercises that might otherwise have been mundane were spiced up with imaginative techniques, for example, the 'Personal Coat of Arms' to present our core values.

The course was very relevant to my job, and I will be able to apply most topics covered in my present situation."

"I feel that since I attended your course, I am now a more confident team leader. When I started the course I did not feel that way due to my extended leave of absence. I have changed many things since completing the course and find work far less stressful due to these changes.

I feel that by attending your course that I had a lot of knowledge, but did not put this into practice. You have enabled me to be true to myself and given me the skills to be an effective team leader."

"It didn't matter that we were all there to learn the techniques of leadership - we were, in reality, all there to change. The change was facilitated by Neil and the techniques were being embedded amongst ourselves as we listened to each other's point of view, shared ideas and interacted with like minded people on the same development path.

I found the combined elements a successful mix, and feel that I have been given the techniques to exercise control over the goals I have to reach. The group are still in touch with each other and we have agreed to provide the support necessary to help each of us remain committed to the decisions we make."

"The course I felt was very well planned in a way that all the topics that we covered linked well together from one week to the next and when taking an overall view, all the topics could be linked with each other in some way.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Neil (tutor) for the planning and delivering of this excellent course; for me the course was very well thought out and covered area that are essential for all managers/leaders to cover in order to understand and become a good manager/leader."

Course Attended: Certificate in Supporting Bereaved Children & Young People

"This was the most informative, practical and rewarding course I have attended during the past 12 years in my present post. The course will certainly influence my work in the future not only by using the Course Handbook but also by gaining insight into the theoretical knowledge shared by the presenters

They (the presenters) were very positive and delivered with sensitivity, allowing the participants the opportunity to contribute as and when they felt appropriate. Very supportive and delivered over and above what was on the agenda, in terms of advice and extra literature."

Course Attended: Certificate in Anticipatory Grief

I found this course well delivered, very valuable and enriching in my role as a Bereavement Midwife. Comparing similarities and differences between anticipatory grief and normal conventional post-death grief has helped me understand and be more aware of the challenges parents face and the extended potential losses. This certificate course has helped me develop my thoughts and feelings on death and what coping strategies I have developed.
